About the Foundation
The Ludwig Quidde-Foundation in the administration of the German Foundation of Peace Research was founded in 2011. It arises from a private foundation which recalls the life and the lifework of the German Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 1927, Ludwig Quidde.
The mission of the foundation consists in advocating the exploration of the life and the lifework of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate as well as in supporting projects in the field of peace- and conflict research that are in a close connection with the aims in life of Ludwig Quidde – the securing and development of peace and freedom.
In the centre of the Ludwig Quidde Foundation’s activities is the Ludwig Quidde-Award. Furthermore, the Foundation provides funding for projects in peace research like conferences and publications, if sufficient financial means are available.
